Reed Diffuser Top Tips & Care Advice

We want you to get the very best out of your reed diffusers purchased from us. Who doesn't want their homes smelling the best they possibly can for as long as possible?! That's why we've put together our top tips and care advice to share with our customers:

First things first - Setting up your reed diffuser

1. Open up the packaging. You will have about eight reed sticks and a bottle filled with your favourite diffuser scent.

2. Unscrew the cap from the top of the bottle and remove the stopper.

3. Screw the cap back on and carefully place the reed sticks in the vessel.

4. Finally, show it off and put it on display!!

Getting the most out of your reed diffuser

  • All of our diffusers use rattan reeds. These are porous so it allows gradual absorption of the liquid up the reeds. We would recommend using about four reeds to start with and then adding more or taking some away depending on personal preference. The more reeds you use, the stronger the scent. Bigger rooms will generally need more reeds than smaller rooms.
  • We recommend flipping your reeds about every two weeks. This will speed up the saturation rate and boost the scent.
  • To avoid damage to surfaces or other materials the diffuser may come into contact with, we advise placing the diffuser on a protective plate. Make sure the reeds are not touching any other surfaces (such as curtains or walls) as this may cause staining.
  • We advise against positioning the diffuser near any heat sources, such as radiators. This is due to the fact that high temperatures speed up the rate of diffusion, therefore increasing the scent of the diffuser, but also shortening its life.
